Anyone from Bern knows them – the crispy and fruity house specialty from the Bärenhöfli. For generations, these golden-brown apple rings have been freshly prepared according to our secret family recipe. We wish you a warm welcome to the Bärenhöfli! Our restaurant is part of the Hotel Kreuz Bern AG and is certified with the Swiss sustainability label ibex fairstay. However, thanks to its convenient location in the centre of the old town, the Bärenhöfli is first and foremost a popular meeting spot among locals. HISTORY
The «Coffeehouse Bärenhöfli» was established in 1894 as the first alcohol-free restaurant within the City of Berne. During the course of its history, the establishment has always managed to adapt to the new needs and demands of our customers. Today, over 100 years later, we’re still striving to delight and surprise our patrons with affordable, yet highest-quality meals.
